             All-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage with fresh maple syrup, free kettle-popped popcorn, entertainment, a parade, animal acts, contests and Carnival Rides beckon visitors to the Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival. While you’re there tour the sugar camp and historic museum, browse arts and crafts, sample various food and enjoy FREE entertainment. The ALL YOU CAN EAT PTO BBQ Meal at Nelson’s Banquet Hall will amaze your taste buds. The Historic Museum offers 11 historic buildings, including the Bird’s Eye View Display that gives you a “Bird’s eye view” of 1960 Wakarusa, train cars and an “Iron Lung” The MAPLEICIOUS TENT is new and offers delicious maple flavored goodies and Festival T-Shirts. Downtown will be closed so the best place to park is at Wakarusa Missionary church. Then the chamber office is a couple blocks away

Starting and Finish Location: is by NorthWood Middle School

The run/walk course is mostly flat on roads and pedestrian path at
Memorial Park

Restrooms are located in NorthWood Middle School

5K Awards:
The overall top three male & female runners will receive Maple Syrup in the 5K .
Male: 12 – under, 13 -15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 – 64, 65 – 69, 70 +
Female: 12 – under, 13 -15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 – 64, 65 – 69, 70 +

Awards will be given out soon after the last person crosses the finish line

Spectator Information:
Please come out and support our runners. Stand along the course to cheer them on and make a sign to encourage them! You can watch them on Washington St or along the walking / Running trail in Wakarusa’s Memorial Park
